Mission Statement and Goals
Victims before criminals - When a conflict of interests arises between the rights of a victim and a criminal, the victims rights takes precedence even when, in its fulfillment, the rights of the criminal may not only be ignored but actively infringed upon.
Justice before legalism - The law should stand to serve justice not hinder it. If the mere application of law undermines apparent justice, then the legal principle should be considered subservient to the dictates of justice.
Victims of crime eligible for legal aid assistance to pursue justice.
A complete overhaul of the criminal justice system - The justice system to be predicated on the three prioritized goals of crime reduction and prevention; siding with victims of crime and the law-abiding; and the re-instatement of punishment, shame, and retribution as legitimate means to deter re-offending.
Assets of those punishable by imprisonment for a term of three years or longer are to be seized for victim support unless proven to be lawfully obtained.
Everyone accused and charged of crime will have a limited right to legal aid - those found guilty will have the full cost of their legal aid bill as a debt to be paid and/or worked off during their prison term except and unless, they have pleaded guilty.
Fundamental changes to the criminal justice system to be assented by referendum. |

Graffiti whether on walls, fences or vehicles make the owners furious. The disrespect for other people property is an ongoing cost and difficult to pin down the culprits as most of it is done during the wee small hours. For those that are caught the judiciary seems to be particularly sympathetic giving them little more than a slap over the wrist with a wet bus ticket. If the judges had to spend a saturday morning once a month cleaning graffiti off walls and fences they’d doubtless be less charitable.
I read somewhere recently of someone who had, had enough of this and made an anti tager spray gun. It worked something like this I believe. They attached a series of small plastic pipes to an electric paint gun, which were positioned along the top of the fence with spray nozzles. Motion sensors were placed along the fence so that they set the paint gun off when someone was within (say) a metre of the fence. The sensors would be high enough so local dogs didn’t set them off when they were placing their marks on the fence or building. Now whether they had water in the tank or a strong dye I didn’t inquire. Rather obviously a dye would make identifying the culprits much easier and be a clear deterrent to others with that inclination.
If someone out there has one for sale contact us and we’ll offer a good deal to advertise it for you. Hopefully this scum do their PD in orange X Gitmo boilersuits (purchased from one of the USA’s top two draft dodger’s offices) so all passersby can see what they are paying for through their taxes. (to keep the designer clothes clean you understand)
Don’t be surprised if the limp wristed, dewey eyed PC libertarians’ ooze out of the woodwork. Having sniffed a dollar wearing their other hats (as lawyers) they’ll be quick to jump on the bandwagon – just watch this space.
